Gale and Jerry

Picture of Maggie
"We adopted our beautiful little pit bull girl, Maggie, from Pablo. They had rescued her from the Norwalk Shelter and brought her into their home for some training and rehabilitation. She had been at the shelter for 6 months. When they delivered her to us, we were very concerned about how our 2 females and in particular our male Pit bull would accept her, because he had shown dominant tendencies towards other dogs. Pablo worked with Maggie and Pete to get them to accept each other, and in a matter of minutes they were walking side by side and getting along perfectly. We were absolutely amazed and in awe of Pablo’s ability. Because of him, Maggie became part of our family immediately. It was as though she lived here forever. In addition, Pablo has continued to make himself available for questions and consultations, always willing to communicate clearly and concisely with humans and dogs alike. We feel like we have our own personal dog whisperer."

"Our rescued Boykin Spaniel suffered from severe phobias. She was scared of people, including us, scared of the crate, the car, and too scared to even go outside on her own. Pablo was able to make progress from the first consultation at my house; but recommended taking Sophie to his home for intensive rehabilitation. The work he did with her seemed like magic and turned from a dog who lived in fear of practically everything, to a friendly and confident dog. But the most important thing Pablo did for me was train me to treat and handle Sophie the right way to not enable her fears, but rather continue her growth. I am so thrilled with the results Pablo was able to accomplish. Sophie is quite literally a new dog."

"Our puppy was completely untrained and I was overwhelmed with her going to the bathroom in our house. Pablo was able to take the puppy from us to housebreak her and teach her basic obedience. In addition, Pablo spent the time to train us the humans on puppyhood stages and proper nutritional requirements. We now have a happy healthy loving puppy that will be a member of our family for a long time to come."

Picture of two well-behaved bulldogs
"We have two English bulldogs that were dog aggressive. Pablo was able to use his pack of well behaved rescue dogs to teach our dogs how to behave normally around other dogs without attacking them. Pablo is very interactive and gets down on his hands and knees (literally!) and works one on one with our dogs and is incredibly knowledgeable and patient with them. I have worked with other dog trainers and felt like they were on a power trip and didn't really like dogs. Pablo is just the opposite. He is firm but kind and confident and it is clear that he genuinely loves dogs and truly understands their behavior and their way of thinking. My dogs like and respect him and are always happy to see him. He has empowered us to feel more confident in understanding our dogs behavior and how to amend it. He has also worked on basic commands with our dogs. Pablo has made a huge difference in our dogs lives and our lives as well and I highly recommend him."

"Pablo is our hero and a miracle worker! We adopted a 10 month old black lab mix we named Daisy, as not only a companion for my husband and I, but also a friend to our, at the time, 2 year old black lab mix we rescued as a puppy named Luna. The girls got along great, but we noticed Daisy was very fearful and anxious a lot of the time. She was somewhat skittish and very quickly began showing signs of separation anxiety. For a year we tried several methods of calming her so that she would feel safe and content in our absence. After attempting to crate her left her with a broken tooth, broken crates and destroyed walls, we turned to new methods. We kept her in one room and given her size, she could jump 4 1/2 foot barriers we set up. We would come home daily to ripped up couches, carpeting, sink faucets ripped out, shoes and radiator covers destroyed even if only left for 10 minutes. We used herbal remedies, anti-psychotics, anxiety medication and exercise and behavior management all with no success. Finally we decided perhaps she wasn't right for our family since both human and dog seemed unhappy. But after a year with us, it was hard to let her go-but we couldn't see how we could continue living like this. We contacted Pablo who we received as a reference from the agency we adopted Daisy from and he immediately told us how difficult separation anxiety could be to treat. He was very honest in saying that there was no guarantee the treatment plan would work. We tried it on our own with his recommendations for 2 months with little success with crating her. We decided to have her stay with Pablo and his pack and see if she could learn to be a dog again and find comfort and confidence with both Pablo and his dog's help. When I tell you it was the best thing we ever did-that is an understatement. After staying with Pablo for 3 1/2 weeks, Daisy returned to our home, happy and willing to stay in her crate. What we couldn't get her to do for 5 minutes after a year, he was able to accomplish in three weeks-and she was content to stay in there for as long as we needed her to, without a bit of anxiety or incident. We began leaving the crates open about 6 weeks ago after consulting with Pablo, and again, we have not had any incident of destruction or anxiety since!! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. It was the best money I have ever spent and we now can go to work or anywhere else we choose and not think twice about her well being or happiness while we are away. I cannot thank Pablo enough for what he did for our family. He is our real life hero and miracle worker because he saved our Daisy and our sanity. He still takes the time to consult with us and is our go to person for questions regarding our beloved dogs. I couldn't imagine what would have happened if we hadn't found him. Simply amazing!"

"Thank you so very much for taking care of our menagerie! It was wonderful to be able to go away with my family for the first time in five years knowing that my precious pets were safe and given lots of tender loving care! After the stress of moving we really needed a vacation and you made it possible. When we got home the dogs were happy to see us but I could tell they had been well cared for in our absence."

"I had booked Pablo to board my two dogs during my annual vacation with my brother and his family. Two weeks before my trip I came home to find my Lab Petey, who just celebrated his 15th birthday, unable to get up. Not only had Petey’s back legs failed him, he refused to eat! He was clearly suffering so I called the vet and made the appointment for his final visit. I spent the night on the floor with him preparing myself to say goodbye. When we arrived at the vet Petey got up and walked in on his own, letting me know it wasn’t time.

I spoke with Pablo to let him know it would be a hospice situation and without hesitation he told me not to worry, he would care for my boy. Petey was still in poor condition when I dropped him off. I was agonizing inside, I could not bear the thought of Petey being scared and looking for me and I wasn’t there. Petey took to Pablo immediately! They took it upon themselves to cook specially for him, and added supplements to help his joints and skin. Pablo got up in the middle of the night to help him up and bring him outside and cleaned him up anytime he had an accident. Most importantly, Pablo wrote to me to let me know Petey was happy! I needed to know this to be able to enjoy my time with my family. This made all the difference.

Petey is now getting up on his own and eating like a Labrador. He is enjoying life and I treasure every moment we have together. I also have profound appreciation for Pablo. They could not have provided better care for my boy, or for me."

"I cannot thank you enough for the love, care and training you gave to Chaz and JD.  They are like two new dogs and my neighbors have all noticed.  Everyone in our household is much happier with the new routine and my husband could not believe that we could easily correct Chaz and JD from jumping."

"I rescued a puppy mill dog that went blind, and was so scared it would not walk, and much less go up and down stairs, and I had to carry her everywhere. I was not sure if I was going to be able to keep her because I have a bad back and could no longer carry her. Pablo took her into his home for training, and in one week's time my Baby was walking confidently on and off leash, running up and down stairs, and responding to special commands he taught her. She is much happier and confident too, so not only did he teach her to walk on her own, but more importantly gave her a degree of confidence and independence that allows her to lead a normal life. Pablo was also able to solve the much annoying problem of her going to the bathroom on her crate, when left for long periods of time. This man is a genius, who is able to perform the seemingly impossible, and his training is worth much more than what he charges."
